A name or location submitted through a search tool passes directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those query terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the related exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bastrop County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains access through the Bastrop County Sheriff, local court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Public access and limits arise in part under the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 552, while Texas Government Code Chapter 411 governs dissemination of criminal history. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern information entered there. Review the applicable partner policy before sending a query because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Bastrop County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy rules apply. Check them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.

We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
